Mindy LUI 雷恩兒
Mindy LUI (b. 1997, Hong Kong) employs the absence of object signifiers as an agency to articulate the disparity between idealized life and lived experience within visual narratives. Spanning painting, drawing, video, and installation, her practice is characterized by a detached, almost ritualistic syntax that manifests contradictions through figurative forms. LUI deeply interrogates how social norms sculpt the individual's psychological landscape and discipline human behavior, shedding light on the underlying void and alienation hidden beneath the veneer of modern urban life.
LUI obtained her Bachelor's degree from the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020. She is scheduled to receive her Master of Fine Arts degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2026.
雷恩兒 (1997年生於香港）以物件符徵的缺席為中介，藉由繪畫、錄像及裝置等不同媒介，呈現視覺敘事中理想生活與現實經驗間之落差｡她的實踐帶有疏離且近乎儀式化的語態，將矛盾轉化為具象表述，深入探討社會規範如何形塑個體心理圖景並規訓行為模式，闡明潛藏於現代都市生活表象之下的空洞與失落｡
雷恩兒於 2020 年在香港浸會大學視覺藝術院獲得學士學位，並於2026 年完成香港中文大學藝術碩士課程｡
