Mindy LUI Yan Yi 雷恩兒
Mindy LUI (b.1997, Hong Kong) obtained her BA in Fine Arts from the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020, and is now pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her recent works are based on the study of the absence and presence of objects, primarily with drawings, paintings, videos, and readymade installations. Considering the object as a reality projection, her practice is based chiefly on the interplay of reality and fiction. She uses the object to explore and examine human's habitual cognition and perception of reality.
She has exhibited in Hong Kong, including at Hidden Space, Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong, Ben Brown Fine Arts, Contemporary by Angela Li, De Sarthe Gallery, and Wure Area. Lui participated in the artist residency programme at Art Space Tetra in Fukuoka, Japan in 2023. Her works have been exhibited in Fukuoka, Japan, Zurich, Switzerland and Taichung, Taiwan.
雷恩兒（b.1997，香港）於2020年在香港浸會大學視覺藝術院獲得學士學位，現正修讀香港中文大學的藝術碩士課程。她近期的作品以研究物件的缺席和在場為基調，主要以素描、繪畫、錄像及現成物裝置等形式呈現。視物件作為現實的投射，她的實踐大多透過虛實交錯的手法，以物件探討及審視人類對於現實的慣性認知及感知。
她的作品曾在Hidden Space、駐香港韓國文化院、布朗畫廊、李安姿當代空間、德薩畫廊和Wure Area等藝術空間及畫廊展出。她曾在日本福岡的Art Space Tetra參與藝術家駐留計劃（2023）。其作品曾於日本福岡、瑞士蘇黎世及台灣台中等地展出。
