In Chinese society, Arowana, also known as dragon fish, has long been regarded as an ornamental feng shui fish to attract wealth and avoid bad luck. The origin of its "functionality" can be traced back to Chinese cultural, historical changes and its appearance with high ornamental value. And this "functionality" has gradually evolved into the common ideology of the Chinese, making Arowana more and more valuable. Combining the idea of five elements in feng shui, the Arowana (Dragonfish) series explores how Arowana is being objectified by humans and also the role of painting and drawing in interior design and feng shui.
